A protein/snack bar that’s on the small side, but tastes very good. It is crunchy and caramel-ly, and filling . The caramel makes it tastes like a candy bar, and not like the typical protein bar.

Cons: My box is kept in a air conditioned room but occasionally, opening a bar reveals sticky caramel all over the inside of the wrapping and a little on the small side.

I have the Rich Double Chocolate flavored powder. I’m probably not doing this right, but I mix one scoop with 8 oz. of 2% milk (I know, not skim, shame on me!), and it tastes like chocolate milk. If I enjoy the taste of something, I’m more likely to continue doing it. I’ve been drinking two “shakes” a day in addition to 4 smaller meals, and I look forward to it each time. As far as results, I don’t know if it has made a difference, because when I just began serious weight training about 3 weeks ago, and have had the powder since the beginning of the third week. I have been gaining weight, and my workouts are constantly improving, so something must be going right. If you like chocolate milk, and you would like an extra boost of 24g protein (plus what is in the milk), this product/flavor may be for you. I haven’t tried it in water, and I really don’t plan to. Chocolate flavored water does not appeal to me. I’ll put up with the extra fat if it means that I’ll actually stay with the program.

I thought the price was high for play food until comparing it to other “cheaper” food. I realized that the quality is actually much higher and indeed worth the money. I like that the play food models healthy foods- fight obesity and teach kids to develop nutritious eating habits- and that it is so incredibly durable made from vinyl material guaranteed to last where other play foods are from cheap plastic and could probably easily be destructed… depending on the kid…I definitely recommend it! Oh and it looks incredibly realistic, when my daughter saw it she bit into a carrot and looked confused until I told her it was for playing and not eating- so much for telling her not to play with her food!!

These bars seem to be the healthiest “health” bars out there. They have almonds which is unique in protein bars. They dont taste quite as good as the harvest bars from POWERBAR(only 10 g protein) but they are not bad, for sure. They are easy to eat, not like the BIG 100 bars and the like that are thick and chewy and seem to want to seal your mouth shut. If you want a sweet great-tasting bar, buy a quaker bar. If you’re serious about eating a healthy and decent tasting protein bar, this is it. No chocolate in this bar. They actually are white and the almonds are chopped or ground up because you dont see them. There are not huge almonds floating around inside the bar.

These are basically highly sweetened (not a recipe for anyone who’s fructose-intolerant) mashed soy (which is at least frowned upon by some gluten-free guides).

I was little concerned about what we might get, since we bought this boom box without first seeing it in a store. We are happily surprised, and our 3 year old daughter simply loves it. Pros: 1. It’s easy to use: our daughter can easily load CDs, play/change tracks; the buttons are large and easy to press 2. It seems pretty durable, even if it’s mostly plastic 3. Sound quality is good for the price. Cons: 1. Some of the controls (volume, on/off) seem a bit oddly placed Other thoughts: –It has a cassette player?? Who still has cassettes? Yoga For Your Eyes
“This is yoga because this is union with the eyes,” explains Meir Schneider in the introduction to Yoga for Your Eyes. Born legally blind, Schneider underwent many operations as a child but was unable to see more than light and shadow; he had to do all of his schoolwork in Braille. Today he is able to drive a car without use of glasses or contacts, after improving his sight holistically. In this video, Schneider shares his techniques, using movements that originate in two main sources: the techniques of ophthalmologist William Bates and Tibetan yoga.

To begin, Schneider instructs you to remove your contacts or glasses (how he expects you to see the screen clearly enough to follow the exercises is not explained). Then he moves on to “palming,” a vision-improving exercise. The instruction is thorough, including directions on how to breathe, and the movements are simple and relaxing. The second segment is “Testing Your Vision,” in which you’re told to make your own eye chart to graph your improvement. “Stimulating Your Peripheral Vision” is next, and it requires three pieces of black construction paper and tape to help you balance the use of both eyes together. “Outdoor Exercises” explains why older people have more vision difficulties and shows how to improve this problem. The final exercises–”Sunning,” “Skying,” and “Long Swing”–help you to adapt to bright lights.

This is a clear, well-produced video/book/eyechart set. I began using it five days ago and could see only a double image of the big E. Now after the exercises I can read the first three lines. I have worn bifocals for 40 years, and I’m now wearing my glasses only to drive. I don’t see every detail clearly — Mr. Schneider doesn’t either. I do see what I need to see, and my vision has improved in a very short time. This is a gentle method which can do no harm. I wish I had explored it years ago.

You cannot imagine what bravery it took for this DVD to be made. One guest is a former detail man and the producer is former detail woman, now called drug reps. In a PBS documentary style, but with rapid movement between 6 guests, this is the story of overselling drugs, mis-educating physicians, and control of even academic medical research. Even if you are a jaded cynic like me, you will find out some new disgusting angle to the prescription drug business. Here is the place for me to recommend Deadly Medicine by Thomas J. Moore (1995) and any of his other books. And Let Them Eat Prozac by David Healy (2004). And The Trouble with Medical Journals by Richard Smith. And Calculated Risks by Gerd Gigerenzer (2002).

This is an excellent overview of how drug companies will stoop at nothing to show their products in a good light, even if their “cures” are worse than useless and exorbitantly expensive. Two former sales reps explain how the drug companies seduce doctors from the time they’re in med school with gifts, trips, etc. Yes, we all know this, but hearing it from people who engaged in these practices makes their methods seem even more odious and manipulative. I especially liked Dr. Hoffman from UCLA whose calm explanations of the business of medicine and modern drug company tactics were excellent and scathing. I wish this DVD was required by all medical schools.

I’ve used these sticks with my CBEFM for a few cycles now. Like the OCD person that I am, I’ve used both the CBEFM with monitoring from my doctor, and they both correspond to each other. It’s good to know that it works appropriately. My only complaint is that they are on the pricey side, and since the CBEFM will always ask for them in quantities of 10, you can go through a whole box in one month. My best suggestion is once you get the 1st “peak” day, that you can stop testing.

I only went though 1 bottle of this (about half the recommended cycle) and I made very noticable gains to my muscle mass. More noticable was an improvement in my athletic preformance. I did a cycle of this stuff w/ the I-gh-1. It does take two bottles to do a cycle and you have to swallow a ridiculous amount of pills between the 2 of these supplements. The good is my bench press went up 45 lbs in 3 weeks. I gained 10 lbs of muscle and was only working out 3 times a week and not excessively hard or consistently. Everyone noticed the size in my arms, shoulders, and back increasing. So basically what I’m getting at is yes, this stuff works, and it works well. Now the bad, for those that don’t know these are steroids. They switched around a couple molecules but it’s pretty much the same as the illegal ones. Same side effects are possible and so on. I stopped taking them because my muscles began cramping alot and I started getting headaches. Maybe it was because I wasn’t working out enough using them. Anyway, if you want to get big fast try these, eat lots of protein(2 whey and 2 caseine shakes a day), you’ll see results the first week guaranteed.

This DVD has amazed me with almost immediate results. I saw a HUGE difference once I started on the regimen. Not only does it show you how to eat (which in itself is very loose and are basically just guidelines on how to eat), but most importantly it gives you a abs workout regimen for some rock hard abs. Not only that, but they have different workouts for beginners, intermediates, and experts. I used to kill myself doing 300 sit-ups within 30 minutes and I still would not get half as good results as this workout that probably takes 15 minutes at most. It REALLY burns off that stubborn, hard-to-burn belly fat (although it still won’t substitute a well-balanced diet). I mean, my love handles have basically disappeared. It truly targets your WHOLE core, including abdominals. This is why it is so effective and you don’t need any equipment. Save your money and avoid buying that ab cruncher machine. Ibuprofen is a good over the counter analgesic (pain reliever) that works on mild to moderate pain. Ibuprofen is the generic drug name, and is the active ingredient in Advil and Motrin (which cost much more). It comes in 200 milligam tablets/capsules. For most mild aches, it can be quite effective. Not only does Ibuprofen relieve pain, but it also is a real good anti-inflammatory medication (it lessens swelling). Thus it is also good for arthritis pain, any joint or muscle sprains or strains, and terrific for toothache pain too. If two tablets are taken, it is equivalent to the previously by prescription only product, “Motrin”. Two tablets, or 400 mg of Ibuprofen is for mild to moderate pain. Three tablets, 600 mg, is for moderate to moderately severe pain. All three doses, 200, 400, and 600 mg can be taken every 4 hours as needed for pain. Four tablets is the highest prescribed dose (800 mg), and should only be taken once every 6 hours. Reserve the four tablet dosaging for your really severe pain. The 800mg dose is equivalent to Tylenol #3 (anetaminophen with codiene), another good pain reliever. (Anything more than 200 mg a dose requires a doctor’s prescription.) Ibuprofen can cause stomach upset and mild stomach bleeding, therefore, always take it with a large cup of water and to minimize gastric upset, eat something with it, like some yogurt, some applesauce, a piece of toast, etc. The extra food will help protect your gut. LIke any medication, Ibuprofen should not be taken day after day for an extended period of time without a doctor’s supervision. Ibuprofen in higher doses or low continuous doses can damage your liver and kidneys. If you are planning to use Ibuprofen for only a few days, you should be able to tolerate 2-3 tablets every 4-6 hours as needed (provided you are a generally healthy adult, are not allergic to Ibuprofen, have no existing liver or kidney disease, and have no stomach ulcers or chronic gut condition like Irritable Bowel Syndrome or Chron’s Disease. How you purchase Ibuprofen is up to you, but there are some real good generic Ibuprofen products that are less than half the cost of the “name brand” products (Advil, Motrin). Both the generic and the name brand are equal in terms of strength and effectiveness. The only thing different about the name brand is fancier packaging and perhaps easier to swallow dose forms. I have the Rich Double Chocolate flavored powder. I’m probably not doing this right, but I mix one scoop with 8 oz. of 2% milk (I know, not skim, shame on me!), and it tastes like chocolate milk. If I enjoy the taste of something, I’m more likely to continue doing it. I’ve been drinking two “shakes” a day in addition to 4 smaller meals, and I look forward to it each time. As far as results, I don’t know if it has made a difference, because when I just began serious weight training about 3 weeks ago, and have had the powder since the beginning of the third week. I have been gaining weight, and my workouts are constantly improving, so something must be going right. If you like chocolate milk, and you would like an extra boost of 24g protein (plus what is in the milk), this product/flavor may be for you. I haven’t tried it in water, and I really don’t plan to. Chocolate flavored water does not appeal to me. I’ll put up with the extra fat if it means that I’ll actually stay with the program.

If you want fiber, eat some veggies or take a supplement. This stuff is NASTY! If I could give it zero stars, I would.

I’ve been drinking Zoic for years and love it! I’m a busy sales rep constantly on the go and on the road and Zoic is the perfect start to the day. It also helps to fill in the gap when there is little time to grab a bite in between sales calls. Zoic provides me with better nutrition & helps to keep my weight in check. I used to grab a slim fast, but have found that Zoic has much better taste. I love the French Vanilla, but the Belgian Chocolate is my favorite… My husband’s favorite is the French Vanilla, which works out perfectly!

I bought this based on the reviews. Others claim it tastes good, yet after tasting it I firmly believe that 8 out of 10 people would have a hard time agreeing with them. I drink slim-fast so I know what vitamin shakes taste like, and this product tastes aweful. Sorry if others don’t agree, but at least it’s an honest opinion. I gave it 2 stars for the health benefits. I would ask amazon for a refund on the unused portion, but shipping it back would be very expensive.

The kit arrived VERY quickly, and I got planting right away. The little peat pellets are a very clever way to start seedlings. I’ll be using them more in the spring to start my regular garden. The instructions vary for each different type of seed, and most of my seeds sprouted quickly. There was one that didn’t come up, but there is plenty of additional starter pellets and seed to do a second, and maybe even a third planting, so no worries. The little seedlings are growing every day! It’s pretty fun
